Installation of a filtered water fountain :
A mains-connected drinking water dispenser must be installed by a specialist, as it needs to be connected to a water supply. Installation can take up to two hours, depending on the type of machine in question.
At Castalie,the installation of a water cooler connected to the mains water supply, carried out by our technicians, takes place in a few steps.
First, a preliminary visit to your premises (company, restaurant, or hotel) is carried out in order to check and choose the best location for the installation of your water cooler. Shortly afterwards, the water cooler is installed on your premises:
1. A technician visits your premises with the equipment needed to install the water cooler.
2. They attach the filtration kit to the location agreed with the customer beforehand and confirmed during the technical pre-visit. This must be close to the hard water supply. After installing the filtration kit, the installer connects the customer's water supply to it. If there is no shut-off valve, one is added upstream of the water block to facilitate future maintenance.

3. Before positioning theequipment, the technician drills the hole for the tubing to pass through, positions the equipment leaving space between the wall and the back of the equipment so that it can breathe. He also checks that the equipment can breathe from the sides and top, as it must not be "enclosed" in order to continue cooling.
4. Start-up! Once the equipment is positioned on the work surface or countertop:
- A CO2 cylinder is installed under the counter (if the customer opts for a sparkling water dispenser).
- Without opening the CO2 cylinder, the installer connects the CO2 tubing to the equipment.
- The sanitation cartridge is installed in the filter holder and the tubing from the filtration kit is used to fill the equipment tank.
- After filling the tank, the water tubing is connected to the equipment and the technician turns on the water to check that it is flowing properly.
- The equipment's power cable is plugged into the electrical outlet, and the equipment is then turned on using the power button.
- The installer performs the standard sanitation procedure.
- The pre-dosing settings are adjusted according to the customer's bottles, glasses, and flasks.
5. After tidying up and cleaning the installation site, the installer:
- Confirm with the customer that the installation complies with their contract.
- Give the customer the welcome kit and set up the easel on the machine if the customer wants.
- Trains the customer on how to use the equipment and change a CO2 cylinder.
The filtered water is then ready to be enjoyed at will: room temperature still water, cold water, hot water, or sparkling water! The water is neutral thanks to the filtration process, which removes chlorine, limescale, and other residues.

Installing a water cooler
Water coolers with water bottles are the easiest and quickest to install. They can be stored anywhere on your premises and do not require a water supply. All you need is an electrical connection.
However, for hygiene reasons, the bottles must be changed every two weeks, even if there is still water left in them.
The capacity of the bottles can be chosen according to the model of water cooler.
Maintenance and cylinder replacement can be done without outside help.

The quickest and easiest solution to install, the water cooler only requires an electrical outlet to function properly. It can be installed anywhere.

Purchasing a water cooler with a water bottle has many disadvantages, such as stock management, restocking, and regular bottle replacement. The solution can quickly become expensive depending on the number of employees.
Furthermore, it is the least environmentally friendly solution due tothe carbon footprint generated by the manufacture and transport of plastic bottles.

How to maintain your water filter fountain yourself in 6 steps
To ensure thatthe waterfrom your water cooler tastes neutral, we recommend that you follow a few steps to clean the exterior.
No special technical skills are required!
To ensure your sparkling water stays bubbly, you need to replace the CO2 refills (a 5kg cylinder can fill 700 bottles of sparkling water).
To change your CO2 cylinder, simply follow the steps below:
Close the empty cylinder: turn the cylinder valve clockwise.
Pull the red pin on the pressure regulator to depressurize the circuit.
Disconnect the empty cylinder by unscrewing it.
Remove the safety pin from the new cylinder, then connect it by screwing it on.
To open the cylinder: turn the valve counterclockwise.
How to maintain a water cooler with a water bottle?
Maintaining a bottled water cooler is relatively easy. For health reasons, simply clean and disinfect the entire unit regularly to prevent the spread of bacteria. Unlike mains-connected coolers, the filters do not need to be changed.
Maintenance of a water fountain without a bottle, connected to the mains

The technicians replace the filter cartridge every quarter, which prevents bacteria from developing and ensures consistent filtration quality for optimal water taste.
Please note that filters have a limited lifespan. Bacteria are therefore more likely to develop if the filters are only replaced every six or twelve months!
