Because CASTALIE committed to offering its customers impeccable water quality, we conducted a tea tasting with Lydia Gautier.
An expert in teas and herbal teas, she introduced us to the ritual of tea tasting and listening to our senses to discover the aromas and delicious combinations of teas. To open up the field of possibilities, Lydia selected three symbolic teas for us: Earl Grey, a distinctive black tea with its amber color and woody bergamot aromas; classic lemongrass green tea; and a Taiwanese grand cru tea: Wen Shan Pao Zhong Tea.
The whole team took part in this tasting ritual and observed the influence of water on the tea, its color, aromas, and flavors...
And its influence is astonishing!
We chose to conduct the experiment with five different types of water:
- Mont Roucous, the preferred mineral water for tea tasting,
- CASTALIE microfiltered water,
- Three new CASTALIE waters CASTALIE a distinctive filtration process: Aglaos, Orséis, and Daulis.
Diagnosis: For the team and in Lydia's eyes, there was no doubt about it: CASTALIE waters CASTALIE on top for each of the teas tasted compared to mineral water!
- For T Revive green tea: Castalie water comes in first place for its beautiful balance and powerful lemongrass aromas, followed by Mont Roucous water.
- With Grand Earl black tea: CASTALIE and Aglaos waters take the top two spots on the podium for their dense color and pronounced bergamot aromas.
- For the premium Taiwanese Wen Shan Pao Zhong Tea: once again, CASTALIE and Orséis waters were better able to bring out the balanced color and sweet Asian flavors of this premium tea.
Thank you to Lydia Gautier for her expertise and this tasting, as well as to the entire team who participated in this unique taste experience!
