Since January 2020, the Anti-Waste Law for a Circular Economy (AGEC) has been committed to a gradual reduction in single-use plastics, with the goal of "zero disposable plastic" by 2040.
What are the implications for public places and public buildings?
Since January 2021: Ban on the free distribution of plastic bottles in establishments open to the public (ERP) and premises for professional use.
From January 2022: Obligation to install at least one drinking water fountain, accessible to the public, for establishments with more than 300 people open to the public, provided they are connected to the drinking water network.
