Bottled directly on site, Castalie water combines purity and sustainability. Its carbon footprint is nearly 90% lower (Source: 2022 LCA, Quantis) than that of bottled water shipped hundreds of kilometers from its source to where it is consumed.

Microfiltration is a membrane filtration process that removes particles from water that are around one micron in size (100 times finer than the thickness of a hair).
At Castalie, the membrane mesh size is 0.5 microns, one of the finest microfiltration mesh sizes available. In addition to this membrane, Castalie activated carbon into its filters. The role of activated carbon is to remove chlorine from the mains water supply in order to stabilize the bacteriology.
As a result, Castalie water Castalie completely neutral in taste. This carbon also plays an important role in adsorbing heavy metal residues, pesticides, pesticide metabolites, and PFAS, the infamous forever chemicals.

Our filter combines a 0.5-micron membrane and powdered activated carbon. The membrane retains all particles larger than 0.5 microns that may be present in tap water, such as traces of heavy metals, dyes, and drug residues.
Activated carbon powder, suspended at the bottom of the filter, traps chlorine present in the water supply through a process of adsorption (chlorine molecules attach themselves to the activated carbon).
